A Serving Church
Leadership springs from God’s nature and it is God’s nature to serve! We avoid no service for neither did He.
“Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:28)
The model of our faith is the Lord and If He serves, so do we. He washed feet; we wash the church curtains - pastor or teacher or student - it makes no difference. He served food and broke bread; we serve the food and wash the dishes - politician or doctor or lawyer - it makes no difference.
Indeed, what is the difference? Hands with five fingers each: some dark, some light, some soft, some rough but all deep in dirt or soapsuds. Indeed, what is the difference? Mouths with teeth, tongue and lips each: some wide, some narrow, some thick, some thin, some loud, some soft, but all willing to serve when needed, for whoever, wherever. We serve.
We serve with His hands. We walk with His feet. We see with His eyes. We hear with His ears. We speak with His tongue. We love with His heart, all by grace, in service pure. We are a SERVING CHURCH.
