HISTORY OF JIL CHURCH MILAN (1 of 2)

It may seem strange for the Jesus Is Lord Church Europe in Milan to acquire an enormous church edifice considering its value and some legal transactions that it has to enter into, but nothing became impossible to God.  Leaders and workers in one accord sought, knocked and asked for a permanent place to worship where His mighty moving can be experienced to the fullest and in His perfect will and time answered their prayers The themes, “Hes Love Endures Forever and Spring of Blessings” in their 14th and 15th anniversary revealed how God has blessed JIL Milan. 

At the northern corner of Piazza Duomo stands the SFORZESCO CASTLE which is the mirror of Milan.  It was designed in 1865 and formerly a military fortress but now it is transformed into an architectural building.  A small Bible study was born in that place in the midst of autumn of September 9, 1991.  Sisters and brother by blood who were born -again Christians in Rome met other 3 sisters working in Milan; started praying for a place of worship and sharing the Word of God despite of the cold winter.

The first JIL Milan Sunday Service was held in December 9, 1991 in the worship center of the Salvation Army at Via Paolo Sarpi and was initiated by Sis. Cesa Galera.  Unfortunately, she went to the Philippines for an unexpected situation.  She left the ministry to Sis. Imee Credito and Sis. Rose Bathan as Acting Pastor and Administrative Pastor. The church continued to grow despite of Satan’s attack.  The Lord provided them almost 7 worship centers which were all for rent and wherever they go, trials came their way.  Several changes in the church management took place; pastors come and go and as a result, believers increased in number and diminished.   JIL Milan really went on a fiery test before God answered their prayers.
