Happy Holiday

The Italians commemorate April 25 as “Republic Day and it is a nationwide and non-working holiday.  In this regard, the JIL Milan grabbed this opportunity to mingle with each other to enjoy and to lessen their stress from overloaded assignments; in short, to have lots of fun.
120 brethren participated  in the  Bowling Tournament hosted by the Gatekeepers. It was  held in Corvetto. The game started at 3.00 PM and was finished at 7:00 PM.  Children and adults tried their best to earn points.  Teams were formed and  competed with one another. There were some players who did not make any score in the first game but as they continued, improved their style and were able to make it.

Time passed and nobody felt that it is up.  Really they have enjoyed a lot! At the close of the game, the following top scorers were recognized:  Men’s Division :  Highest Pointer, Bro. Sherwin Lapuz, Second, Bro. Bengie Alcantara and  Third, Bro. Lito Bantatua.  Women’s Division:  Highest Pointer- Sis. Matty Aguilar, Second- Sis. Charmaine Tuiza and the Third- Sis. Nancy de Guzman.  The Best Lane is LANE 11.

The Children Ministry headed by Sis. Rebecca Mejia also showed their skills in bowling.
The best players came form the Junior’s Group.  They were:  Carlo Signo - Highest pointer, Jonathan Macaoba-Second and Ron Titan-Third.

The awarding ceremony took place the next Sunday, April 27,  after the Sunday service, with  Rev. Ptr. Benny giving the awards to the deserving players.  He was assisted by  Sis. Rita Acebo, Coordinator of the Gatekeepers Ministry and Sis. Mildred Lapuz, Assistant. Silver Cups-trophies were awarded to the three highest pointers and medals were given to the members of the winning team.
