A huge fire taller than the church building broke out Wednesday, March 19 at around 7 o’clock at the left side back of the Jesus is Lord Church! 

Sis. Nida Rivera that  time decided to follow Ptr. Joe who was putting the Conference Room in order.  She took a taxi and they were  near Bisceglie, the driver told her that the church is  ablaze.  She did not believe in what he said, so they headed through the destination in an increasing speed to see what was really going on.  The vacant lot at the back of our church was on fire! She went out of the taxi and the driver called the “carabinieri” and then later, the “vigili del fuoco”. Sis. Nida came rushing in the church, to tell the people the catastrophe happening outside.  Bumbay, the  youngest son of Bro. Noni Almario heard her screaming and opened the door for her.  She shouted as loud as she can, but nobody heard her due to the noise of the "hoover"  that Bro Noni was using at that time.  Soon, Ptr.  Joe and Bro. Noni were informed and they hurriedly opened the back door and saw that the enormous fire driven by the strong wind was just 3 meters away from us.  Its flame was like the tongue of a roaring dragon ready to devour its prey. Bro. Noni started calling the people of God and he informed them what was happening.  A chain of communication followed, instructing brethren to pray and to intercede in behalf of our church.  People inside and outside the church joint in prayer and cried for God’s intervention to save our temple.
