Winning the Race (2 of 2)

Ptr. Joe discussed in details the  factors involved in a race and they are as follows:  1.  The runner’s focus. Jesus Christ must be the focus of every Christian in running (Hebrew 12:2).  We must not just run for its sake, instead we have to do it with joy.  Let our service be not just a responsibility and a hindrance but we must put our heart with it.  Discipline is also needed to win and it is a result of hard labor! 2.  The rules of the race.  No runner has the right to set his own rules; the Lord’s has set His for us to obey.  We need the dynamic kind of faith to finish the race.
3.  Purpose of the race. Its purpose is dependent on how we view it.  We have to endure and consider the race a joy.  We need to stick to our calling and concentrate on it by committing our senses and strength and must not allow anything to divert our attention that will hinder us from winning.  Philippians 3:14, reminds us  to press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called us.4. Imperishable Reward –The crown of righteousness is our imperishable reward and we can win it through  eliminating our weaknesses and by complementing and helping one another.

The Word of God is followed by the prophetic gesture.  Sis. Emma Credito, Bro. Arthur Alcantara, Ptr, Edward Arca and his wife broke the walls of Torino against the sin of idolatry.

God bless JIL Torino!  He will be with you in whatever kind of race you have in your lives.  Just keep on looking at the Author and Finisher of our Faith (Hebrews 12:2) and surely you will win it.  Again, our heartfelt congratulations for a job well done!
